During this experience, I learned how to use WordPress, a tool I had never worked with before. I also learned how to set up and manage my own personal blog, as well as how to actively contribute to the WordPress project. At the same time, I improved my English skills through translation tasks, discovering new vocabulary and expressions along the way. Another important takeaway was developing better communication skills for working in global, remote teams.
Contributing to WordPress has been a very positive and enriching experience for me. I really appreciated being part of an international community where people are helpful, open, and supportive. I was also surprised by how welcoming the environment is, especially for beginners. One of the most rewarding aspects was seeing my own translations and contributions published and actually used in real projects.
Looking ahead, I would like to continue contributing to WordPress, particularly within the Polyglots team. I want to keep improving both my translation abilities and my collaboration skills. Over time, I also hope to take on more responsibility and possibly support new contributors who are just starting out. I am also interested in connecting with other people involved in open-source projects to keep learning and growing through shared experiences.
